The Charities

James Lucy give at least 50% of their profits to charity each year. Every customer who buys a James Lucy watch or strap will get to vote on which charities our profits are shared between.

Each customer will get 3 votes, one for each 'sector' (Environmental, Humanitarian, and Medical).

At the end of the year, the designated profits will be divided amongst the charity in each sector with the most votes. This year's charities, and a little bit about each are shown below:

#Time4Change (Environmental)

Friends of the Earth Trust inspire and support people to take local, national and global action to improve lives and protect the environment. By 2030, they want the next generation to enjoy an environment that's getting better: a safer climate, flourishing nature, and healthy air, food and water.

Trees for Cities work on an international scale specialising in planting urban trees and providing volunteering opportunities to bring local people together. They are a game-changing, ambitious organisation that sets the standard for urban forestry worldwide.

Cool Earth work alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction. They put local people back in control, giving them the resources they need to keep their forest intact. And by saving at-risk rainforest, they form shields for millions of acres of neighbouring forest.

#Time4Good (Humanitarian)

The Red Cross help people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. They are a global network of volunteers, responding to natural disasters, conflicts and individual emergencies. They enable vulnerable people to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, they help people to recover and move on with their lives.

Charity: water
bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. 100% of all public donations received directly fund water project costs. Every project, including photos and GPS coordinates, are on Google Maps.

Save The Children save children's lives and build better futures. They helped 22 million children in 2016. They change the world for children through innovative work on the ground and campaigning for change on key issues. They work hard to reach every last child in the toughest parts of the world.

#Time4Time (Medical)

Make-A-Wish create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. For a desperately ill child, a wish is life-changing and transformational. When a child turns to them, they take them on a carefully structured Wish Journey. The whole journey – from wish capture, to building anticipation to lasting memories, aids physical and emotional healing. Building resilience and helping children to cope.

Worldwide Cancer Research fund research into any type of cancer anywhere in the world. They fund projects in the world’s best research institutions. They fund world-renowned specialists and up and coming talent. They do all those things for one very good reason - to gain a global perspective. Because research doesn’t happen in isolation. The answers will not come from one scientist, in one lab, in one country.
British Heart Foundation are the UK's number one heart charity and through 50 years of funding cutting edge research have already made a big difference to people's lives. Their mission is to win the fight against cardiovascular disease and for a world in which people do not die prematurely or suffer from cardiovascular disease.
